I have not posted in a very long time. Years. I forgot about this blog...
But I recently have returned to writing very frequently and I'm sure to be posting to nobody again. :)
That's okay.
I will probably post some stories later that I wrote for a creative writing class -- awesome experience.
Entered the flash-fiction world. Very cool.
For now, welcome back.
Life is alright sometimes, I guess.
I'm going to post a story about a girl I met a few weeks ago. It's strange.
Someone once told me that good writing has one main element -- luminous strangeness.
Never judge a book by it's cover. See you in a bit, lonely internet-land.
Musings of a poet in youth.
Original poetry postings, analyzing poetry of history, reviewing all kinds of music. Explore the arts with me!

InFlight Entertainment
It's sometimes hard to realize that life moves on without you. You know, they say you never really live until you help someone that could never repay you. Well I guess I live a lot then. Sick of people coming and going. Sick of an influx of friendship and a denial of stability and security. In fear and faith, I'm yours to take. Use me. Turn me inside out. My insides feel like they've been on spin cycle for years.

Just Kids
I'm currently reading "Just Kids" by Patti Smith.
For those of you unfamiliar with Miss Smith, she is a jack-of-all-trades in terms of the arts.
She did visual arts (drawing, painting, etc.), she wrote, and she played music.
This particular book is a memoir about her life, especially pertaining to the parts spent with Robert Mapplethorpe.
If you don't know about Robert Mapplethorpe, he was a (mostly) photographer who depicted (mostly) really obscene, explicit, sexual stuff. In opinion, really awesome art.
Anyway, the book is very interesting. It makes me realize even more that I was meant for a different generation. There are a lot of moral and emotional parallels between Patti Smith and myself.
I've been taking forever to read it though, because of school and work and all that other good shit that gets in the way of really enjoying life.
Regardless, I'm looking forward to reading and experiencing the rest of her story.
Everyone should try to read more nonfiction. A good nonfiction book is sometimes even better than reading a fictional story.
I'll probably blog more about the book later, I'm only a little more than halfway through it, despite my efforts to read when I have time. I'm a fast reader, too!
...Oh well.

oneword.com
oneword.com
The blog type site prompts you with a single word and gives you one minute, sixty seconds, to write about it.
Here are my two prompts that I’ve done so far. I would have posted them earlier but Blogger was literally not letting me post.
signed. (5/19/13)
by a sorrowful soul. she signed her name for the last time upon a tattered piece of parchment paper. she has been forgotten, just as her time is ending. oh, sweet irony. oh, sweet destiny.
catapult. (5/21/13)
catapult. yourself into reality. or your mind’s version of it. you never know the tortures of the past until you are catapulted into a messy version of a forgotten memory. rape. rape. rape. catapult yourself into eternal violation. an innocence lost, forever.

Imagine.
Imagery!
Immoral imagination.
I inspire intoxication.
Irony.
I imagine.
I irrationally ignore internal instinct.
I insist.

Hello. Hola. Bonjour.
Hello, reader.
I'm hoping to gain a few readers with my blog. It'd be nice to have an online community. Or maybe just ramble on to myself.
Who knows.
I suppose I should say a bit about myself.
My name is Victoria. I'm from Boston, Massachusetts. Like most Bostonians, I take a lot of pride in being from there.
I am lucky enough to have met my soulmate, and I spend my life with my
boyfriend/fiancee/husband. Whatever you want to call -- his name is Kristopher, but he goes by Kris.
I'm a college student, with an (almost) associate's degree in Music Business.
I plan to continue on to a bachelor's degree in English.
I love poetry, literature, and music.
What I want to do is post some of my own poetry, and post about some other poets' work. Also, write about some music, maybe.
Maybe my ideas for posts will change. Depends.
Anyway, welcome to my blog. And welcome to my life.
